Hey, It's the Little Things in Life

Today has turned out to be an interesting day.  I was having a full blown panic attack the likes of which I've not had for years; the kind where I think I am having a heart attack and will die at any moment. Since I wasn't dead on the floor I decided to clean and worked through the worse part.  When I logged on SL a friend IM'ed me right away (which I hate!) and invited me to chat with some other people.  My usual response is to politely decline, but I didn't, and I got exactly what I needed.  Then Marleen Vaughn, who I remember from way back in the day from her store, Marly's, which I adored for her funky retro styles, contacted me about her new store, Vaughn's.  She is having a little hunt at her store for 3 items, the pipe, the scissor's necklace and the lovely grey top.  She is sweet and I am so glad to see her back in action.

Cupcakes has been having a hunt all month at their sim with fantastic prizes: Skins, clothes, eyes.  Several of the sim stores also have hunt items and all are free.  They are easy to find and it's a lovely sim to visit. I don't know why but I particularly loved the cold grey eyes that came in a large set.  Nice size, which I'm very fussy about.  Another little thing that I found on a recent journey is this Maori-style chin tat as a subscriber gift at Miss Shippe's studio.

It is refreshing to find that SL does include lots of cool people, some who are friends that care, some who do their own thing and make interesting items.  No drama, no heartache.  Just people at their comps, probably in their jammies drinking coffee or whiskey.  Good times.

Do they Sell that Over the Counter?

I've been a shy fangirl of Katx Kirax of Bingo for quite a while now.  She has never had a huge store but she always injects her items with a sense of humor that I appreciate.  She recently released a sweet, little dollarbie that includes a cotton candy striped t-shirt, colorful nail polish, 2 face tattoos (1 tint-able) and a pose (not shown).  Then to top it all off she TP'ed me to Love Soul, where I won this adorable hair that was recently added to their lucky chairs, which perfectly compliments her tats. I had been trying to win it to no avail; it comes in 4 different color packs and are split between the chair in the main store and the one behind the food store.  I added the latest group gift from Pididdle, the envelope necklace, which I seriously need in RL to attach permanently to my son who is forgetting half the things he should bring home from school. Thank you to all the designers for the wonderful presents!

Finally! Pididdle!

The adorable Brutus Martinek from Pididdle has been planning on opening a new main store on the Existence sim and it opened today!  To celebrate she has made some season themed versions of some of her new releases.  They are hidden in 5 easy to find pumpkins and will cost you nada.

The Beirut Jeans in "That Creepy Feeling" version as well as the Obsessions Top in "Pumpkin Patch Party" as well as the Boo necklace are 3 of the items you can find in the little hunt.  I added the non-free Beirut Vest in black because it's such a madly versatile piece, plus I think its really sexy.

Check out the amazing texturing on the Obsessions Top.  I love Brutus's attention to detail.  All her new releases come in about a billion colors, which makes it about impossible for me to buy only one.  Thanks, Brutus, for all the fantastic gifts!

R.icielli!

I had never been to R.ichielli before and I love finding new places.  They have wonderful high-fashion styles that are easy to wear and perfectly textured.  The the Barbbara dress in lime is free for a limited time. It is not in a box out front, darlings.  When you enter the store, turn right and keep turning right until you reach the last room.  It is on the regular rack with the other lovely colors.

Also, Baby Monkey is discontinuing all older versions of Ultimate shoes and has priced them at 10 L.  There are oodles to pick from so get over there!  New group gift in archives too!  When you arrive at the store the shoes on sale are to your right in the room where the Ultimates Lucky Chair is (not the one when you first enter the store).

There is also a fantastic body suit in the R.ichielli group archives that shouldn't be missed!

Trashy Girls In Style

I discovered the Trashy Girls In Style shop when I was exploring the new Le Cirque Sim (great shops and fantastic for photos!) and wondered, "Hmm, I love her clothes! I wonder if she has any freebies?"  So I perved Freya Olivieri's profile and TP'ed over to her mainstore and lo and behold there were several freebie outfits there!  I did buy a dress and will definitely be back for more!  There were 3 dresses and a fatpack of tanks available in the store for either 0 or 1 L and a pair of cute pink boots in the subscriber.

The Adventures of Miss Crabtree, Chapter 1

Miss Crabtree timidly stood at the door of Mr. Shuffle's office.  Being the new girl in the steno pool,  she was eager to impress her boss with her skills.  The other girls twittered amongst themselves when they got word that Miss Crabtree was already being called to their boss's office, though a few others glared.  She had recently moved to the city from her family's home in Poughkeepsie to begin acting school and she really needed this job.  Mother had warned her that there the big city was no place for a single girl but Miss Crabtree was determined to succeed and become a star, like her idol Grace Kelly.  Anxiously she knocked on her boss's door and waited.  "Please come in, Miss Crabtree", he said in an authoritarian voice.  Mr. Shuffle sat at his desk smoking a fine Cuban cigar.  Behind him was a view of downtown as well as photos of his family.  She stood there paper and pen ready, waiting for him to ask her to sit and begin work.  "Now come closer, Miss Crabtree...".

Details:
Outfit: Baby Monkey.  The perfectly crafted pencil skirt is a group gift to Baby Monkey members.  Hours were spent creating multiple layers and lining up the seams.  Other colors as well as a belted style are available for a meager 50 L.  The pink blouse is free as a picks reward.  The argyle top is one of 3 available to all.  The new Sasha shoes are a dream.  Not free but menu driven for color change of shoe, heel/base, toenail options.  I am so impressed with the new line so please check it out.
