Sun, Surf and Turf

I have a mix of things today for you.  I found some mesh things in the Mesh Around hunt that could actually be mixed and matched (gasp!) so I had to share them.  This dress is one of two styles you get (in multiple sizes, of course) from Happy Undead in the hunt.  I discovered that this soft, green top from Ingenue went smoothly over it so I had to combine them.  There is a pink one too!

My nails are a hunt gift from Moondance and I'm sorry I couldn't get a great shot (still trying to figure out the viewer I need to use to get around the rezzing issues I'm having, sadly) but when you see them up close they have a sort of lacy-gem-gothic style texture on them.  My hair is the Moolto hunt prize from Catwa and it comes in a few shades of blonde.  There's a male hair style for the hunt too! 

The skin I am wearing is a new release from MiaSnow at the Skin Addiction event.  As soon as I showed the picture on Flickr people were out asking me where the skin was from.  It's such an unusual look, but it's so soft and serene.  It's photorealistic in some spots but not so much that you end up in creepy uncanny valley territory.  Cleavage, dimples, eyebrow options, everything.  it's not free but there IS a free set of freckles at the event!  My jewelry is new from Hate Me and Eat Me and is also not free but I love it!  Green is my fave color and the girl in me that was raised Catholic can't get enough crosses.

I was looking around Marketplace out of boredom the other day and I stumbled across this pretty cheapie shirt and neck scarf combo.  I'm all about finding new places for meshy goodness so I thought I would share this.  Plus, hey, pink and hearts for the win!  I like the sort of innocent feel of the pattern and higher collar with the naughty cropped bottom and I thought wearing the hair bridle from Hate Me and Eat Me with it would add that extra sauciness to it.  My skin was a hunt gift from The Skin You're In and unfortunately it doesn't appear to be available any longer.  There are, however, other hunt gifts and MM boards, etc. in the store so check it out.

Peeking

I have this skin from My UglyDorothy and I just thought it looked so interesting with the tattoo layer makeup from Miss Shippe's Studio for the Flux event.  I felt aged and broken, yet romantic and filled with history.  I used the keyhole photography hud from Vaughan's House of Curiosities because it just seems like this woman would be someone people would work hard to see because, even as she ages and becomes more cynical and worn from her chosen profession, she would still retain that certain something, that feeling of pure sexuality, that can't be seen or named and certainly doesn't exist only in youth.  I hope you enjoy them as well as the other wonderful things I am wearing tonight.

Whoopsie!

So I did this picture more than a day ago and in that time some of the items stopped being free. xD  But there is still some goodness here so check it out!  This hair is free from Catwa ONLY THROUGH JANUARY 6TH!  Grab it as soon as you can.  It's a fat pack so extra woo.  My skin is the Mons VIP group gift that I previously mentioned HERE.  The deer neck tattoo is very cute and simple, also comes with a dinosaur version and is only 25L at Es' Cusi.

Waiting For Santa

Hi all!  There are so many wonderful gifts out right now to celebrate the holidays but all of here at Free*Style have been so busy we haven't covered a ton of them so I wanted to show a few things before I go to bed and wait for Sandy Claws.  This scarf is from Zeery and you can find it under the tree with loads of other gifts from the folks at Rue D'Antibes.  It has wonderful colors perfect for the winter.  My hair is from D!va and it is to celebrate 25,000 members (that is a huge group for SL!)  It comes with 2 bang (or fringe for you Euro types) options, long or short hair option, and a fat pack of colors.  Woo!  My skin is from Belleza and OMG CUTE ALERT.  I love red lips so I was all over this gift.  There is a male skin too!  My shirt might be free at Ivalde but it's a secret hidden items hunt so maybe not.  *Sneaky*  My earrings are from Hate Me and Eat Me and are not free but you can see the free set HERE at my other blog. :D

These boots clearly don't match this outfit but they are free from Lassitude&Ennui and they remind me of the girl from Nightmare Before Christmas so they work for a holiday post!  There is a male pair too.  Love!

Futuristic and Foxy

I have a couple things to show you today!  This dress is the August VIP group gift in store from Miamai and I am not sure how much longer it will be out so hustle!  The necklace is also one of two feathery necklaces you can get in store as a VIP member.  It only costs 50L to join which is super cheap for a VIP group.

The skin is from Mango, Mango! and I made it pay what you want.  I am wearing it with a tattoo lipstick so you can't really see it between the hair and the lipstick but it's cute I think. xD  My hair is from Hate Me and Eat Me and is only 70L per color.  It's very avant-garde and great for high fashion looks.

Meshy Mesh Mesh

OK so even though I can't use shadows...or proper lighting...or anything that a good picture really needs...in the V3 viewer I thought I would share some of these fabulous mesh gifts anyway!  I could have made these photos pretty in GIMP but I thought it would be nice to show these basically untouched, straight from SL shots (minus cropping, frame and a few smudges) so you could see how fabulous they are with even the most basic inworld settings!  I shot three poses of this dress because I wanted you to see how great mesh items look with any pose.  Nothing sticks through your body!!

These highly detailed glasses are from bitch. and come with four options for only 1L (limited time only!) How great is that!?  I have seen some of the stuff this creator is working on by following his Plurk account and the men and women have some great items coming soon!

These adorable little pumps are from Alice Project and you can snag them in the subscriber.  Yes, Alice Project does great shoes and more, not just wonderful hair!

Pink & Yellow Lemonade

Indie Rose has a pretty lemon-colored draped top for free that you can nab via the subscribo (look for it in the center of the store near all the other signs, on the wall).
I must've had lemonade on the brain today, 'cuz I added this free "Roman" bag by House of Fox in this luscious pink lemonade color. Some free golden romper bottoms + a $25L lemonade cuff finished this casual look.
